First Week in California

So Caroline is loving California!! We were so grateful to get these first pictures. They show us that she is adapting to her new area and making it home for herself. Her first area is the Citrus Heights area. Her first ward is the Tempo Park Ward. She is living with another companionship in this apartment and she sleeps on a mattress on the floor. She does not care because at the end of the day she is exhausted.
Her area does not have a lot of investigators. There are mostly less active members. She is ok with that.
Caroline played for her new bishop and he was so impressed that he asked her to play a special musical number in sacrament and also play prelude music every Sunday. Her talents are being put to work and that is fantastic.
California is in a drought so it is super dry out there. Everyone is always taking about it and she is tired of hearing about it. She wants to get them to focus on Jesus Christ instead of the drought.
Caroline said that the Lord is always with her.She feels like someone has a hand on her back all of time and that it is gently guiding her where she needs to go.
I am so grateful for her and for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Savior wants everyone to learn of Him and I know she will do her best to teach this.

Sister Caroline Elizabeth Ginn called to serve in the California Roseville mission

This wonderful daughter of mine has accepted the call to Roseville California to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! What an awesome, scary, brave and selfless thing to do. I am so grateful for her decision to do this. She will be an amazing missionary and will be teaching people about Jesus Christ. She just arrived in the mission and I pray her first week will be incredible. We all miss her terribly but know she is exactly where the Lord would have her at this time!!

Summer Explosion 2013

Here are some wonderful things the Ginn family has been involved with this summer. This has been a summer to remember. It includes getting in new dog,  EFY at Southern Virginia, Trek which was life changing, swimming ,Caroline's 17th birthday and Girls Camp. Wow and we are just entering August. Gotta love summer!!!

 

Nineteen Years and Counting

Happy Anniversary to the most amazing man. I am so grateful you are mine for eternity. I love you with my whole ❤heart and soul. 

Happy Birthday Sweet Kimberly

Kimberly turned 7 last month and she was sooo excited! She is such a blessing to our family. We love you little Kim Kim!

My Sweet Daddy

My daddy is one of the strongest people I know. He has beat cancer twice in his life so far in his 73 years. Recently, he has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had one about five years ago an underwent surgery to remove it. He had been cancer free until about two months ago. It has returned. His attitude is awesome and his testimony is stronger .
He has undergone radiation surgery and we are all waiting for an MRI which he will
have in March. We are praying that the
tumor has shrunk or is not growing. It can
not be removed from surgery because
he would not survive it. I pray that he will
make it through just for a little while longer, but I know it is the will of Heavenly
Father. Prayers are appreciated for
my sweet daddy.

Also happy birthday dear Hannah. Thank you for being born into our eternal family. You are so special to us and we love you so very much. Turning 12 is awesome!!
