We participated in a service project the Fayetteville Stake to help clean up Fayetteville. It was sponsored by the City of Fayetteville. There were other churches and groups there that participated also.
We wore the helping hands pullover with our church's name on it. It was overwhelming to me because our church by far had the most participants. It was a great experience and I am grateful I could serve.
This was one of the many groups that picked up trash in our stake.

I love, love, love Pres. Catlett! I tell Cory all of the time that when I imagine what Joseph Smith would've been like, I see President Catlett. We both miss him terribly as our stake president. Actually, Celeste (we are now in the same ward as them) and I were just talking about this the other day.
Wow! What a great way for the stake to get involved in the community, and I agree with you about the support of Pres. Catlett. How could anyone not love that man?! He is the most Christlike person I've ever met in my life....we also love, love, love him! And miss him! You guys are lucky to have his leadership.
What a great service project. We were out of town that day, so we weren't able to get involved with it. I'm glad that it went so well. I agree, Pres. Catlett is a wonderful man. I could sit and listen to him all day long.
I was looking for familiar landmarks in your pictures. What a great activity for you all to be involved in!
